Installation & Setup

Welcome to VDR3D! This guide will walk you through installing and setting up VDR3D for your first volumetric 3D capture project. Whether you're using our web platform, mobile app, or desktop application, we've got you covered.

Installation

VDR3D is available on multiple platforms. Choose the installation method that best suits your workflow:

  • Web Application (no installation required)
  • iOS Mobile App (iPhone 12 Pro or newer)
  • Android Mobile App (devices with LiDAR)
  • Desktop Application (Windows, macOS, Linux)

Note: For the best capture quality, we recommend using a mobile device with LiDAR sensor support.

System Requirements

Before installing VDR3D, ensure your system meets the following requirements:

Initial Setup

Once you've installed VDR3D, follow these steps to get started:

  1. Create your VDR3D account at app.vdr3d.com/signup
  2. Verify your email address
  3. Download and install the mobile app from your app store
  4. Sign in with your account credentials
  5. Grant camera and storage permissions

Warning: Make sure you have at least 5GB of free storage space before starting your first capture.

Configuration

Configure VDR3D to match your workflow preferences. Here's a basic configuration example:
